Composite materials because of their high strength, low density, wear resistance and low thermal expansion, have been becoming attractive materials for applications ranging from structural components to electronic packaging. In many of these applications, the composites are also required to be able to withstand thermal shock and thermal fatigue coursed by high levels of heat flux and rapid temperature changes, so thermophysical properties such as thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity become important. CompoTherm is an integrated platform which can help you design a composite material with required thermophysical properties.
